Funeral Procedures
I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies, and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. (John 11:25-26)
Pastor Marion Phillips, III the Ministry Team, Officers and the Mount Sinai Baptist Church Family join in your grief in the death of your loved one. May you know the Lord’s comfort and may His love surround you during this time of loss.
Because death is such an important and sensitive time in our lives, we have set up guidelines to assist families through the funeral preparation process. We need you to follow proper guidelines to assure yourselves that everything is done in decency and in order. We also need to be on guard against those with unscrupulous behavior and hidden agendas. We need you to do the following when death occurs within the church family.
1. Immediately contact the Church Clerk (973) 223-0294 and advise her that a death has occurred. You will then be contacted by a Deacon and Deaconess who will work with you on behalf of your Church Family.
2. Please make sure you meet or talk with that Deacon or Deaconess assigned to you before making final arrangements with the funeral home. Please direct any questions or concerns you may have to them.
3. Understand that no Mount Sinai Baptist Church Ministry or person can make any plans for participation in the wake, Homegoing service, burial, or repast without clearance from the Pastor or his designee.
Please Remember
We will do our very best to honor your request as we remember that Homegoing Services are worship services designed to comfort and encourage the family, and bring Glory and Honor to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Date/Time of Funeral
